The Delegation of the EU and BOMCA 10 hosted training on media literacy for CSOs

From 22 to 24 April 2025, the Delegation of the European Union to Turkmenistan and the EU funded BOMCA 10 Programme co-organised a three-day interactive workshop in Ashgabat, aimed at enhancing media literacy and strategic communication skills among civil society organisations (CSOs).

BOMCA 10 enhances data management and inspection capacities in Turkmenistan

On 19 April, the EU-funded Border Management Programme in Central Asia (BOMCA 10) handed over data management and inspection equipment valued at EUR 9,527.76 to the State Frontier Service of Turkmenistan.

EU-funded BOMCA 10 strengthens regional cooperation in narcotics detection through advanced ToT training and K9 competitions

On 14-15 April, the Border Management Programme in Central Asia (BOMCA 10) funded by the European Union (EU) organised a regional advanced ToT training and K9 competition for customs, border, and law enforcement agencies of Central Asia. The event aimed to foster cooperation between K9 units and promote the continuous transfer of knowledge and practical skills in the field. It was hosted at the newly renovated K9 Regional Training Centre of the State Customs Service under the Ministry of Finance of the Kyrgyz Republic in Leninskoe village, Kyrgyzstan.

BOMCA 10 enhances phytosanitary and veterinary control procedures in the Central Asian region

On 1-3 April in Ashgabat, the EU-funded Border Management Programme in Central Asia (BOMCA 10) organised a technical assistance (TA) session on the elaboration of standard operational procedures for phytosanitary and veterinary (SPS) import controls by gathering experts of the SPS agencies responsible for the development and implementation of import controls in Turkmenistan.

BOMCA 10 continues to enhance the expertise of Turkmenistan’s Law Enforcement Agencies on modern evidence collection methods

On 13-15 March in Ashgabat, the EU funded Border Management Programme in Central Asia (BOMCA10) held a practical training for staff of the Centre for Criminological Research of the Ministry of Internal Affairs on usage of 3D scanner. The aim of the workshop was to increase the capacities of the Centre in forensic investigation of cross border crimes by familiarising with one of the modern evidence collection tools.
