On 21- 23 May in Ashgabat, the EU-funded Border Management Programme in Central Asia (BOMCA 10) organised a training on modern training methodologies for trainers and staff responsible for the training of Turkmenistan's border, customs, migration, veterinary and phytosanitary agencies.
Facilitated by BOMCA 10 expert Yulia Kazakova, a methodologist and consultant in designing and managing educational processes, the training introduced participants to modern teaching methods, including the principles of group dynamics, approaches to learner motivation and the specifics of online education and gamification. A key element of the training was the organisation of participant-led master classes in a conference format, where trainees applied the knowledge gained in practice and received feedback from their peers.
The training was organised within framework of Component 1 of the BOMCA 10 Programme, which aims to strengthen the institutional capacities of border control agencies.
