BOMCA 10 and its key partners in Tajikistan wrapping up the year and making plans for the future

From October 6-7, the latest round of National Steering Group (NSG) meetings was held in Dushanbe, Tajikistan. The meeting was aimed at reviewing the Programme’s progress for the year and to define plans for the upcoming period. For this purpose, the BOMCA 10 leadership, representatives of the European Union and implementing partners met with the key partners, such as state agencies and international organisations.

From September 21 to 23 in Tajikistan and from September 26 to 28 in Kazakhstan BOMCA 10 held national workshop followed by technical assistance on the improvement of customs processes and e-services, related to electronic submission and processing of customs documents, as well as the development of a “single window” in Central Asian countries.

BOMCA 10 training of trainers course for dog handling instructors in Lithuania has been completed

On September 23, the Border Management Programme in Central Asia completed its training of trainers (ToT) course for dog handling instructors specializing in the search for explosives, ammunition, and weapons. This ToT was organized within the framework of BOMCA Programme’s Component 2, “Improvement of detection capacities to counter cross-border crime”.
