BOMCA held National Steering Meeting in Tajikistan

The EU-funded Border Management Programme in Central Asia (BOMCA 10) held the second round of its National Project Steering Group meetings in Tajikistan, in order to review the progress of its second implementation year and define plans for the upcoming period. On October 05, a meeting was held in Dushanbe, gathering Tajik national counterparts directly involved in the project’s implementation.

EU-funded programme continues enhancing intra-agency cooperation among sanitary and phytosanitary agencies in Central Asia

From October 3 to 5, BOMCA organised Regional workshop on updating of the Agreement on Plant Quarantine Cooperation, which aimed to enhance intra-agency cooperation and information exchange among sanitary and phytosanitary agencies. Specifically, it analysed and proposed recommended actions to the agreement concluded between the governments of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan in 2000.

Tajik officers familiarised with the EU approach and novel methods of investigation of organised cross-border crimes

From September 6 to 8, the EU-funded Border Management Programme in Central Asia (BOMCA 10) jointly with LEICA organised a workshop for the representatives of law enforcement agencies (LEA) of Tajikistan, specialising in investigations of cross-border crimes.

BOMCA provided a set of specific canine items for Tajik Border Troops

The EU funded Border Management Programme in Central Asia (BOMCA 10) officially handed over a set of K9 equipment to the Canine Service of the Training Centre “Poytakht” of the Border Troops of the State Committee for National Security of Tajikistan, accounting for a total value of 4,950 EUR.
