BOMCA 10 supports Central Asian customs agencies in promotion of gender equality and gender mainstreaming in customs management

In cooperation with the State Customs Committee under the Ministry of Economy and Finance of Uzbekistan, the EU-funded BOMCA 10 Programme organised a joint webinar series which aimed to promote gender equality and enhance gender mainstreaming in customs management, as well as strengthening women leadership in the customs agencies of Central Asian countries.

The interactive webinars provided a platform for discussing a number of topics such as gender-sensitive communication, gender equality for the sustainability of the security sector, as well as good EU and EaP practices on ensuring equal and fair treatment within state institutions.
