Vacancy of Administrative Assistant in Turkmenistan (Re-announcement)

ICMPD within the Border Management Programme in Central Asia, Phase 10 announces a vacancy of Administrative Assistant in Turkmenistan, Ashgabat (re-announcement).

The Administrative Assistant supports the Administrative Officer in the overall implementation of administrative services and ensures their compliance with corporate rules and procedures. S/he provides coordination and guidance on administrative and logistical matters related to organisation of project activities to Country Administrative Assistants on a regional level, in all offices.

The Administrative Assistant provides support to the implementation of the regional project activities. S/he organises project events and meetings being responsible for the logistical arrangements and DSA payments. S/he collects, compiles and organises inputs to meetings, project reports, presentations, communication materials and provides support to the formulation of new projects.

The deadline for submission is January 8, 2023.

BOMCA 10 keeps improving cooperation on border crime analysis among agencies of Central Asia

From 6 to 8 December 2022, the Border Management Programme in Central Asia (BOMCA 10) held a workshop in Astana for representatives of the border guard and law enforcement agencies of Kazakhstan on cooperation with INTERPOL. The participants familiarized themselves with legal, procedural and technical solutions for cooperation with and running of activities through INTERPOL.

EU-funded Programme keeps enhancing information and evidence exchange in cross-border crime investigations in Central Asian countries

From December 5 to 7, 2022, the Border Management Programme in Central Asia (BOMCA 10) held a bilateral workshop for representatives of investigation units of the law enforcement agencies and prosecutor's offices from Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. This activity aimed to analyse the current practices of information and evidence exchange in cross-border crime investigations in Central Asian countries with a major focus on Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, and evaluate problematic aspects of information and evidence exchange in the investigation of cross-border crimes.

In Uzbekistan BOMCA equips Training Centre of the Border Guard Forces

From November 29 till December 2, 2022, the Border Management Programme in Central Asia (BOMCA 10) in partnership with the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) held a national training of trainers (ToT, basic level) on document security in Termez. The training session aimed at enhancing the capacity of trainers and instructors with the expertise in document authenticity verification and advancing their skills in detection of forged documents.

BOMCA contributes to the digitalisation and optimisation of customs processes in Turkmenistan

From November 29 to December 1 the Border Management Programme in Central Asia (BOMCA 10) organised a technical assistance mission to Ashgabat, in the form of a national workshop for the representatives and “single window” coordinators of the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan. The workshop was devoted to enhancing of customs processes and e-services, related to the electronic submission and processing of customs documents, as well as the development of the “single window”.
