EU boosts regional explosive detection capacity with ToT training and K9 competition in Kazakhstan

From 9 to 18 June, the EU-funded Border Management Programme in Central Asia (BOMCA 10) held a regional Training of Trainers (ToT) course and a K9 competition in Almaty, Kazakhstan. The initiative aimed to strengthen the operational capacity of canine units in explosive detection and foster closer cross-border cooperation among Central Asian K9 units.

BOMCA 10 strengthens digital forensic investigation capacities in Turkmenistan

On 5 June, the EU-funded Border Management Programme in Central Asia (BOMCA 10) handed over a set of specialised digital forensic equipment, valued at EUR 14,559.08, to the General Prosecutor’s Office of Turkmenistan in Ashgabat.

EU-funded Boot Camp strengthens civil society in Central Asia

From 26 to 30 May 2025, the Border Management Programme in Central Asia (BOMCA 10), funded by the European Union (EU), organised a regional Boot Camp in Samarkand aimed at enhancing the project management capabilities of civil society organisations (CSOs), particularly those working in the border areas of Central Asia.
