From 3 to 5 May, the EU-funded Border Management Programme in Central Asia (BOMCA 10) organized a training in Dushanbe on leadership and management for the managerial level staff of Border Troops of Tajikistan.
On April 13, 2023, the Border Management Programme in Central Asia (BOMCA 10) held a regional online workshop for teaching staff of the border guard, migration and other law enforcement agencies, as well as for the relevant training institutions from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
From 14 to 16 March, the Border Management Programme in Central Asia (BOMCA 10) held a workshop in Dushanbe on the investigation of cross-border crimes such as trafficking in persons and smuggling of migrants. The workshop targeted the representatives of the investigation and criminal intelligence units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Committee of National Security, Border Troops of the State Committee on National Security and Prosecutor General’s Office of Tajikistan. This is the third workshop of its kind conducted by the BOMCA Programme in the Central Asian region, following similar activities in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.
On March 15, 2023, in Termez, the Border Management Programme in Central Asia (BOMCA 10) held a regional online workshop for teaching staff of the border guard, migration and law enforcement agencies, as well as for the training institutions from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
On 7-9 March 2023, the Border Management Programme in Central Asia (BOMCA 10) jointly with the UNODC initiative on enhancing cross border cooperation in Central Asia and (BOMCA 10) organised a study visit to the European Border and Coast Guard Agency - FRONTEX (Warsaw, Poland) and the Polish Border Guard for 15 representatives of the border control authorities from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan.
From March 2 to 3, in Dushanbe, in cooperation with the Committee on women and the family under the Government of Tajikistan (Committee), the Border Management Programme in Central Asia (BOMCA 10) organised a Forum of female leaders from the Tajik border regions and state partner to attract more attention to the challenges encountered by women residing in the border areas and to brainstorm on how the government and female activists can work together to address such challenges.
From 15 to 16 February, the Border Management Programme in Central Asia (BOMCA 10), in partnership with UN Women, is organising a training on the effective implementation of the United Nations Security Council Resolutions 1325 on the women, peace, and security agenda.
On February 14, 2023 the Border Management Programme in Central Asia (BOMCA 10) held a regional online workshop in Dushanbe on distance learning about border management in Tajikistan and countering irregular migration from Afghanistan for representatives of the law enforcement agencies engaged in the border management of Central Asian countries.
