BOMCA extends an Open Call for Stories – «Outstanding Women Shaping Central Asia»

Dear ladies,

Due to the requests from applicants, BOMCA 10 has decided to extend the deadline of submission of applications untill June 15.

In the framework of its 20th Anniversary, BOMCA Programme announces Open call for women’s success stories among civil servants from institutions-partners of the Programme.  Women-authors of 30 the most inspiring stories will be invited to a photo shoot and will receive 2 professional photographs, whereas the stories will be published on the Programme’s website as part of the online exhibition "Outstanding Women Shaping Central Asia".

The exhibition will contribute to the acknowledgement of women’s valuable contribution into achievement of security, stability and effective cross-border cooperation in the region as well as will serve as an inspiring example for other women. The exhibition will feature stories in three categories:

  • Leadership,
  • Innovation,
  • Competence

All incumbent and retired women civil servants from the BOMCA 10 beneficiary agencies are invited to participate in the competition, given they work in the following thematic areas:

  • Border management and control
  • Document security
  • Investigation methods
  • Tackling trafficking in human beings and irregular migration
  • Cross-border crime
  • Canine services
  • Customs, veterinary and phyto-sanitary administration and procedures
  • Improvement of living conditions of border communities

The authors of the selected stories will be informed and invited for a photo shoot during June-August, 2023.
