From April 18 to 19, the EU-funded Border Management Programme in Central Asia (BOMCA 10), in partnership with the Law Enforcement in Central Asia Project (LEICA), held a national workshop in Uzbekistan for officers from analytical units responsible for risk analysis and crime identification.

BOMCA supports enhancement of control procedures at Central Asian borders

On April 12, the EU-funded Border Management Programme in Central Asia (BOMCA 10) officially handed over specialised equipment to the State Agro-Industrial Complex Inspection Committee and Veterinary Surveillance Committee of the Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan. The total value of the transferred equipment amounted to 33,967.36 EUR.

Border officers from Tajikistan improved their skills in the field of cynology, focusing on searches for explosives, drugs, arms and ammunition
