From July 9 to 11, the EU-funded Border Management Programme in Central Asia (BOMCA10) organised a study visit to the EU (Latvia) regarding implementation of border control procedures under EU requirements, including a demonstration of best practices of inter - agency cooperation mechanisms at various levels of command, as defined in the National IBM strategy of Latvia.
On July 9, the EU-funded Border Management Programme in Central Asia (BOMCA 10) officially handed over a specialised set of equipment for document examination to the “Poytakht" Training Centre of the Border Troops of the State Committee for National Security of Tajikistan.
On July 1, in Latvia (Dog handling centre of the State Border Guard) and Lithuania (dog handling centre of the State Border Service), the Border Management Programme in Central Asia (BOMCA 10) launched the second round of the 12-week Train – the – Trainers (ToT) course for K9 instructors from five Central Asian countries. These programme activities are aimed at improving dog handling instructors’ theoretical knowledge and practical skills for the training of dog handling teams and service dogs, used for daily border guarding and law enforcement tasks.
The Border Management Programme in Central Asia (BOMCA 10) recently pre-selected 12 non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in all 5 Central Asian countries to implement projects in the region’s border areas, under the 2nd call for proposals.
On June 19, the EU-funded Border Management Programme in Central Asia (BOMCA 10) officially handed over a specialised cynology equipment to the Training Centre "Poytakht" of the Border Troops of the State Committee for National Security of Tajikistan, accounting for a total value of 6,110.00 EUR.
On May 24, the EU-funded Border Management Programme in Central Asia (BOMCA 10) officially handed over a forensic information extraction system to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tajikistan, accounting for a total value of 12,463.00 EUR.
On May 20, in Dushanbe, the EU-funded Border Management Programme in Central Asia started three-day national workshop for the representatives of Customs Service under the Government of Tajikistan.
From 15 to 17 May, the EU-funded Border Management Programme in Central Asia (BOMCA 10) organised a training for the representatives of the Ministry of Labour, Migration and Employment of the Population of Tajikistan on communication and provision of psychological support to the people.
From April 22 to 23, the EU-funded Border Management Programme in Central Asia (BOMCA 10), in partnership with the Law Enforcement in Central Asia Project (LEICA), held a national workshop in Dushanbe for officers from analytical units responsible for risk analysis and crime identification.
