The EU-funded Border Management Programme in Central Asia (BOMCA 10) held the second round of National Project Steering Group meetings (NSG) in Kyrgyzstan, in order to review the progress of its second implementation year and define plans for the upcoming period. On September 14, a meeting was held in Bishkek, gathering Kyrgyz national counterparts directly involved in the project’s implementation.
From September 11 to 13, the EU-funded Border Management Programme in Central Asia (BOMCA 10) jointly with LEICA organised a workshop for the representatives of law enforcement agencies (LEA) of Uzbekistan, specialising in investigations of cross-border crimes.

From September 6 to 8, the EU-funded Border Management Programme in Central Asia (BOMCA 10) jointly with LEICA organised a workshop for the representatives of law enforcement agencies (LEA) of Tajikistan, specialising in investigations of cross-border crimes.
The BOMCA 10 Programme has recently released the publication “Gender Policies in the Republic of Tajikistan: mapping of legislation, implemented policies, institutions and key actors”.
From September 4 to 6, the EU-funded Border Management Programme in Central Asia (BOMCA 10) held a workshop in Tashkent for the representatives of Uzbekistan’s Customs Administration on different transit systems, their requirements and application.
From August 31 to September 01, the EU-funded Border Management Programme in Central Asia (BOMCA 10) organised a training course on the project management cycle for the representatives of non-governmental organisations working in the border areas of Tajikistan.
From August 28 to 29, the EU-funded Border Management Programme in Central Asia (BOMCA 10) held a seminar on protection of labour migrants’ rights, with the participation of representatives of the Ministry of Labour, Migration and Employment of Tajikistan and the Ministry of Employment and Poverty Reduction of Uzbekistan.
The EU funded Border Management Programme in Central Asia (BOMCA 10) officially handed over a set of K9 equipment to the Canine Service of the Training Centre “Poytakht” of the Border Troops of the State Committee for National Security of Tajikistan, accounting for a total value of 4,950 EUR.
