BOMCA 10 keeps strengthening the investigation capacities of investigators in the field of cross-border crimes

From 22 to 24 May, the EU-funded Border Management Programme in Central Asia (BOMCA 10), in partnership with the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, organised a national workshop in Ashgabat for investigators and crime intelligence officers specialised in investigation of trafficking in human beings and migrant smuggling. This is the fifth and final workshop of its kind conducted by the BOMCA Programme in the Central Asian region - following similar activities in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. Thus, this activity closes a series of workshops on this topic in the region.

EU-funded programme has strengthens border agencies of Tajikistan in contingency planning for mass influx of irregular migrants

From May 22 to 24, the EU-funded Border Management Programme in Central Asia (BOMCA 10) held a national workshop on preparedness to and prevention of mass influx arrivals of irregular migrants for the representatives of departments in central offices and regional headquarters responsible for developing plans for interaction, coordinating and managing departments during emergencies in Tajikistan.

On May 19, the Border Management Programme in Central Asia (BOMCA10) officially handed over the training accessories and other equipment for service dogs of the Canine Centre of the Service for Combating Illicit Drug Trafficking of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic with the total value of 7 115 EUR.

From 17 to 19 May, the EU-funded Border Management Programme in Central Asia (BOMCA 10) organised a national workshop in Uzbekistan for investigators and crime intelligence officers specialised in investigation of trafficking in human beings and migrant smuggling. This is the forth workshop of its kind conducted by the BOMCA Programme in the Central Asian region, following similar activities in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.
