From August 28 to 29, the EU-funded Border Management Programme in Central Asia (BOMCA 10) held a seminar on protection of labour migrants’ rights, with the participation of representatives of the Ministry of Labour, Migration and Employment of Tajikistan and the Ministry of Employment and Poverty Reduction of Uzbekistan.
On August 15 the EU-funded Border Management Programme in Central Asia (BOMCA 10) officially handed over ICT and specialised equipment to several agencies of the Republic of Uzbekistan for a total value of 213 352 EUR.
From July 17 to 19 in Tashkent, Border Management Programme in Central Asia (BOMCA 10) conducted the first series of grants monitoring meetings with the non-governmental organisations who received funding for implementation of the projects in the border regions of Central Asian countries.

From June 13 to 15, the EU-funded Border Management Programme in Central Asia (BOMCA 10) held a Regional workshop in Astana for the heads and key employees of the Customs agencies of the Central Asian countries.
From 23 to 25 May, the EU-funded Border Management Programme in Central Asia (BOMCA 10) organised a seminar for the employees of the Mahalla Committees of the border districts of Uzbekistan on communication and provision of psychological support to the people.
From 17 to 19 May, the EU-funded Border Management Programme in Central Asia (BOMCA 10) organised a national workshop in Uzbekistan for investigators and crime intelligence officers specialised in investigation of trafficking in human beings and migrant smuggling. This is the forth workshop of its kind conducted by the BOMCA Programme in the Central Asian region, following similar activities in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.
