This Component is coordinated and implemented by the International Centre for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD) in close cooperation with the project implementing partner UNODC.

The Component aims to improve the cross-border cooperation between Central Asian border communities through support to local economic development and tackling common challenges, with a focus on human rights, gender equality and groups in vulnerable situations. The activities will focus on capacity development of local authorities and civil society, design and implementation of border communities initiatives, provision of grants to NGOs and support of micro/small business development in border regions.
