Ms Zhusubakunova has over 16 years of professional experience of public service in the area of plant quarantine. Having held external and internal positions in various areas of phytosanitary security, gaining the necessary knowledge, skills and experience, she is currently a leading specialist in the Department of Chemicalisation, Plant Protection and Quarantine under the Ministry of Agriculture of the Kyrgyz Republic. Where necessary, she advises importers and exporters of agricultural products.

With over 16 years of professional experience in phytosanitary security, and having gained extensive theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the field, Ms Zhusubakunova justifiably considers herself an expert it. She emphasises that it is knowledge, experience and authority, together with important personal skills such as efficiency, responsibility, diligence, the ability to adapt in a team and being able to cope with stress, that have helped her to achieve the desired results in her profession.
