The 2nd round of ToT course for CA dog handling instructors in Lithuania has been successfully completed

On September 23, the Border Management Programme in Central Asia completed its training of trainers (ToT) course for dog handling instructors specializing in the search for drugs. The 2nd round of ToT was organized within the framework of BOMCA Programme’s Component 2, “Improvement of detection capacities to counter cross-border crime”.

In Tajikistan, EU-funded Programme imparts technical assistance on analysis of a Standard operational procedure for SPS import control

In Dushanbe, BOMCA 10 organised technical assistance (TA) on elaboration of Standard operational procedure for phytosanitary and veterinary (SPS) import control, gathering representatives of the Tajik SPS agencies responsible for the development and/or implementation of import controls.

Third round of NSG meetings continue in other countries of the Central Asian region

The EU-funded Border Management Programme in Central Asia (BOMCA 10) held the third round of National Project Steering Group meetings (NSG) in Kyrgyzstan, in order to review the progress of its third implementation year and define plans for the final period of current phase. On September 12, a stakeholder meeting was held in Bishkek, gathering Kyrgyz national counterparts directly involved in the project’s implementation.

In Latvia, from September 3-5, the EU-funded Border Management Programme in Central Asia (BOMCA 10) organised a study visit on transit-related questions for the representatives of Customs Services in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan, which are responsible for developing a national transit strategy/policy and have expertise in the field of application of the transit/TIR procedures in their countries.

BOMCA 10 handed over distance learning equipment to the Tajik Customs Institute

On September 2, the EU-funded Border Management Programme in Central Asia (BOMCA 10) handed over a sets of distance learning equipment to the Institute of Advanced Studies of the State Customs Service under the Government of Tajikistan. The total value of the handed over equipment amounted to 11,838.66 EUR.
