Turkmen Customs academic staff learn from peer-to-peer traineeships in Latvia

BOMCA 10 assists the authorities of Uzbekistan in the effective application of the GSP+ scheme

From November 8 to 10, the Border Management Programme in Central Asia (BOMCA10) held a national workshop/technical assistance mission on trade promotion within the framework of the European Union’s Generalised Scheme of Preferences (GSP+), for representatives of competent governmental authorities of Uzbekistan responsible for elaboration of guidelines, instructions etc. for competent authorities and economic operators in charge of the Registered Exporter System.

BOMCA 10 continues supporting and empowering female employees of Central Asian states agencies

The Border Management Programme in Central Asia organised two workshops for female employees of the partner state agencies in the Republic of Uzbekistan in Tashkent (31 October – 1 November) and Bukhara (3 – 4 November). The workshops were designed to complement the previous activities held by BOMCA in Uzbekistan to offer support to female employees of the state agencies and local authorities in the border regions of Uzbekistan. The focus of the training is tailored on the performance of professional duties conditioned by gender. The unique BOMCA methodology in this domain is anchored by the women to women methodology, in which female trainers interact with female employees, thus ensuring a secure trustworthy environment.

BOMCA 10 held regional workshop for the SPS authorities of Central Asian countries

Turkmen K-9 units strengthened by training on European standards

EU-funded Programme imparts technical assistance on analysis of customs legislation in transit areas in Turkmenistan

BOMCA 10 held Regional workshop on the alignment of national legislation with the provisions of HACCP standards

From October 18 to 20, the Border Management Programme in Central Asia held a regional workshop, focusing on  elements of the Training of Trainer (ToT) methodology on the alignment of national legislation with the provisions of HACCP standards, FAO/WHO’s Codex Alimentarius/” Food Code” requirements, and preparation for the accession to and/or implementing those standards.
