From April 24 to 28, the EU-funded Border Management Programme in Central Asia (BOMCA 10) organised a study visit to Germany on developing a strategy for Kyrgyz diaspora led investment to the Kyrgyz border regions for the representatives of the state institutions involved in diaspora management.

BOMCA assists Kyrgyz border agencies in elaboration of National Integrated Border Management strategy

From April 17 to 20, the EU-funded Border Management Programme in Central Asia (BOMCA 10) organised a technical assistance session for the border agencies of Kyrgyzstan, as part of the elaboration of the National Integrated Border Management Strategy (IBM) and Action plan for the upcoming years.

BOMCA 10 contributed to strengthening capacities of Uzbek authorities to investigate cross-border crimes

From 12 to 14 April, the Border Management Programme in Central Asia (BOMCA 10) held a workshop in Tashkent for investigators and crime intelligence officers specialised in investigations of cross-border crimes such as trafficking and smuggling of drugs. The workshop enhanced the capacity and capabilities of law enforcement personnel of Uzbekistan in tackling drug smuggling and drug precursors.

The assistance is targeted at the representatives of State Revenue Committee of the Ministry of Finance, Committee of Veterinary Control and Supervision and Committee of State Inspection of AIS of the Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan.
