On June 1, the EU-funded Border Management Programme in Central Asia (BOMCA 10) officially handed over an uninterruptible power supply (UPS) to the Border guard forces of the State security service of Uzbekistan, accounting for a total value of 9,990.00 EUR.
UPS will be connected to the IT equipment at the passport cabins at international border checkpoints located in Ferghana Valley to ensure permanent power supply to all border control equipment, as well as permanent access to databases.
These assets were purchased in the framework of BOMCA 10 Component 1, “Institutional Development of Border Control Agencies”, aimed at further developing and strengthening the institutional capacities of border control agencies in Central Asian countries.
