Kyrgyz Government Agencies and Local Self-Government boosted their communication skills

Communication is the process of transmitting information from the sender to the recipient through an environment in which the information is equally understood by both parties. Realising the importance of effective communication processes between agencies on the national and local levels as well as with the general population, the Component 4 of the Programme supported the boosting of the communication skills of line agencies, dealing with migration, border management and customs issues and local self-government authorities of the border regions in the Kyrgyz Republic.

A two-day workshop took place in Osh and Bishkek introducing the most effective communication methods and strategies, useful and relevant for professional activities. The participants obtained new communication skills for the regular exchange of information between the government agencies and effective communication with the local population.

The workshop held within the BOMCA 10 Component 4 on improvement of cross-border cooperation marked the first milestone in the cooperation with the Kyrgyz authorities, on efforts aiming towards the improved living conditions of people. This is also part of the Programme’s overall support to government agencies in boosting their communication activities.
