Kyrgyz veterinary service received ICT equipment to increase the efficiency of border crossing processes for foreign trade activities

On February 27, EU-funded Border Management Programme in Central Asia (BOMCA 10) handed over ICT equipment to the Veterinary Service of the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry of Kyrgyzstan. The total value of the transferred equipment amounted to 10,205.77 EUR.

The beneficiary agency received 10 laptops which are intended for border veterinary checkpoints located in remote areas, as well as for checkpoints. 

The laptops will ensure effective and rapid data exchange and increase the efficiency of border crossing processes for foreign trade activities and importing goods subject to veterinary control.

These assets were purchased in the framework of BOMCA 10 Component 3, “Facilitation of trade”, under the 6th specific expected results – improved customs, phyto – sanitary and veterinary checks.
