EU-funded programme supports Canine Centre of the Service for Combating Illicit Drug Trafficking of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyzstan

On May 19, the Border Management Programme in Central Asia (BOMCA10) officially handed over the training accessories and other equipment for service dogs of the Canine Centre of the Service for Combating Illicit Drug Trafficking of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic with the total value of 7 115 EUR.

Canine Centre received tactical footwear and K-9 vests for dog trainers, harnesses / vests for service dogs, which will be used by the Centre for training purposes.

These assets were purchased by BOMCA on the basis of an ad hoc request by the national counterparts of the programme to further strengthen the technical basis and raise their capabilities to investigate different types of infringements, also cross border crime.
