EU-funded programme keeps improving the digitalisation process in Central Asian region

On May 20, in Dushanbe, the EU-funded Border Management Programme in Central Asia started three-day national workshop for the representatives of Customs Service under the Government of Tajikistan.

This programme activity aims to share the EU experience in digitalization and automation of customs processes, optimisation of the workflow for import procedures for trade and customs officers, as well as other parties involved in development of digitalisation, including future requirements for IT systems to ensure effective process flows.

Following the completion of this workshop and based on the information provided by participants, the recommendations for further digitalisation of customs procedures and processes will be developed and submitted to the participating beneficiary agency.
