On September 30, in Dushanbe, the Border Management Programme in Central Asia (BOMCA 10) held the third round of its National Project Steering Group (NSG).
The meeting reviewed the Programme’s progress for the past year, which included work across all four core thematic components of the project.
The national counterparts particularly underlined the value of BOMCA’s work towards strengthening skills enhancing institutional capacities in the region. At least 855 participants from various agencies in Tajikistan have benefited from activities from April 2021 to-date, and at least 45 guideline documents have been provided on various technical documents, to benefit counterparts and be acted upon at the national level.
Next to a retrospective review of the results, the priorities and needs for the next period of implementation were addressed, both with the national counterparts and international stakeholders.
