On 24 April, the EU-funded Border Management Programme in Central Asia (BOMCA 10) handed over modern technical equipment valued at EUR 19,790 to the State Committee for Land Management and Geodesy of the Republic of Tajikistan.
Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan have completed mapping their shared border, and working groups are finalising the official documentation. The newly provided advanced technical equipment - ranging from interactive panels, laptops, and plotters to scanners, printers, and a projector - will support the work of border delimitation and demarcation commissions, enabling the processing of cartographic materials, digitising archival records, and facilitating negotiations with greater efficiency and technical precision.
This support was provided under Component 1 of the BOMCA 10 Programme, which aims to strengthen the institutional capacities of border control agencies in Central Asia and support the regional border demarcation process.
