BOMCA 10 strengthens training capacity in Tajikistan

  • Thematic Component: 1. Institutional Development of Border Control Agencies
  • Country: Tajikistan

On 26-28 May in Dushanbe, the EU-funded Border Management Programme in Central Asia (BOMCA 10) organised a training focused on modern methodologies for instructors from Tajikistan’s border, customs, law enforcement, veterinary and phytosanitary agencies.

Led by BOMCA 10 expert Yuliya Kazakova, a specialist from Kazakhstan with expertise in designing and managing educational processes, the training offered participants practical tools for engaging adult learners. Topics ranged from understanding group behaviour and intergenerational learning patterns to applying motivational techniques, integrating gamified elements and using digital platforms effectively. Throughout the training, participants worked on adapting their own educational modules, applying the concepts discussed and refining their approaches. The programme concluded with participant-led master classes, providing an opportunity not only to apply newly acquired knowledge in practice but also to receive professional feedback from peers.

Three-day training was organised within framework of Component 1 of the BOMCA 10 Programme, which aims to strengthen the institutional capacities of border control agencies.
