Improving the practical skills of Uzbek customs and border authorities in detection of smuggled goods

On 25 – 27 September, 2018 BOMCA expert team conducted a three-day workshop in Tashkent to improve the practical skills of customs and border authorities in the prevention and detection of illegal trafficking of goods and means of transport.

Within the framework of the workshop the practical exercises were conducted on risk analysis and detection of caches in the process of customs inspection as well as identification forged seals and modified containers. Also, participants were  familiarized with the use of various technical means, methods and practices applied in the Lithuanian Customs Service and the European Union.

This initiative is aimed to increase the efficiency of inspection and working procedures related to smuggled goods.
