BOMCA supports Kyrgyz Customs in digitalization of working processes

On August 22 at the Central Office of the State Customs Service under the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic, the handover ceremony of video equipment was held, purchased by BOMCA program for a total amount of 23,256 euros. CCTV systems - multi-channel video recorders, indoor and outdoor video cameras, hard drives , uninterruptible power supplies and other components will be installed at «Severnaya» customs clearance point.

According to Sultan Mamasadykov, First Deputy Chairman of the State Customs Service, the installation of video surveillance at Severnaya Customs is part of the agency's initiative to digitalize work processes. It will also allow to optimize control functions and reduce corruption risks.

After the equipment was handed over, the parties exchanged views on the implementation of BOMCA program in Kyrgyzstan and identified areas for further cooperation.
